Alejandra Morales (1979, Naranjito, Puerto Rico) is the artist behind Alé Ceramics, an artistic project where she explores a progression of ideas and feelings, and transform them into clay objects. Using different types of stoneware clay and mixing a variety of minerals and oxides, she creates unique, entirely handmade pieces.
Inspired by the nostalgia and curiosity surrounding archaeological findings, she develops a body of work that aims to establish a connection among different cultures and periods of history. Relationships, rituals, and the poetry of movement are some of the topics she proposes when designing her pieces.
She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in 2003 from the Public Communications Department, with a degree in Audiovisual Production, a field she has been involved in on multiple capacities since then.
Morales is currently based in the Tuscan hills of Prato, Italy, and her heart is nomadic. She considers herself a citizen of the world, and her creations are the result of a life full of cultural exchanges with amazing people from across the planet.
