About

Existing unofficially since 2013 and fully launching in 2014, Cranium Corporation is a platform for fostering dialogue about art, artists, and exhibitions. It is a consortium that promotes the work of artists and exhibitions that prompt critical conversations about environmental, political, and socioeconomic realities of today.

Through this virtual institute, we explore the varieties of art practices and displays of art and other media. We feature photo as well as text essays, reviews, and criticism by diverse contributors, curated by Á.R. Vázquez-Concepción.

He has also served as editor and curator of Conboca, an online independent cultural criticism platform based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, that operated between 2006 and 2014. In San Francisco and Oakland, California, he has contributed exhibitions to the Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts, Minnesota Street Project, CTRL + SHFT Collective, the Red Poppy Art House, and the GLBT History Museum. He has also published reviews in Art Practical and Daily Serving.

He is currently pursuing a second master’s in social sciences education at San Francisco State University. Con mucho orgullo también habla español. You can email him, see his LinkedIn profile, follow his Instagram, or follow him on Twitter.
